FAQs & Information

We know that reaching out is often the hardest part. These are some of the questions we hear most, answered as straightforwardly as we can, because you deserve clarity before you take that first step.

  • Now is a great time to start. The unknown can be scary, but so is carrying everything alone. When you are ready to finally put some of it down, we are here. Functioning well on the outside while feeling overwhelmed on the inside is reason enough.

  • Honestly? You might not know right away, and that's okay. Finding the right fit is part of the process, not a prerequisite for starting it. We take the time to understand what you're looking for before matching you with a clinician whose approach, experience, and personality align with your needs. And if it doesn't feel right, we would rather help you find someone who does than have you give up on the process altogether

  • Therapy can feel good at times, but often, to the surprise of many, it can bring up feelings, thoughts, or emotions you didn't realize were there. Processing that can be challenging, and that is exactly the work. We are here to guide you through it and remind you that you are not alone in that journey. Sometimes it's uncomfortable before it gets to the good part. And we will be right there for that part too.

  • It looks like therapy from wherever you are most comfortable, your home, your car, or your office. And that comfort is not a coincidence. Being in a familiar space can actually make it easier to open up about difficult things. There will inevitably be technical hiccups along the way, but we are here to troubleshoot together. Because figuring things out as a team is kind of our whole thing.

  • Reaching out is the hardest part, and you've already done it by getting here. You can schedule a complimentary 20-minute consultation directly through our portal here [link to therapy notes], call us and leave a message, or send us an email, and we will get back to you. No lengthy intake forms before you're ready. Just a conversation to see if we're the right fit.

  • A consultation is a quick, free of charge, 20-minute conversation that takes place with a member of the team. During this brief, you share what you are currently looking for in terms of therapy services. Although not an official session, it is a good starting point to get a feel of the practice. A therapy session takes place once you are enrolled in treatment and have agreed to accept our services. These are typically 45-minute or hour-long sessions.
